Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Library has seen a tremendous increase in the use of digital services, including the number of library users accessing Hoopla.

While this is wonderful (we love that you love reading so much!), the increase in demand puts limitations on the availability of materials.

Beginning this month (April 2023), monthly borrows will be reduced to 5/month (during the pandemic, this number was temporarily increased to 9).

This change will give our growing number of Hoopla users more reliable access to digital materials and allow a larger number of users to borrow materials before the Library's "daily borrowing limit" is reached.

The Library continues to work with Hoopla to create a more balanced borrowing experience, exploring strategies that allow users consistent and fair access to materials.
