Located at 13 Burwell Street in Paris, Ontario, the New Main Branch Library project will restore the National Historic Site Bawcutt Centre (formerly known as the Paris Old Town Hall) and build an addition.
At the heart of its community, the building will be restored as a cultural cornerstone for County of Brant residents.

|
2. Why are we restoring the Bawcutt Centre? |
|
3. What will happen to the existing library building at 12 William Street, Paris? |
This building is owned by the County of Brant. The County is currently investigating public-use options. For more information, connect with the County of Brant's Planning & Development Department. |
4. What will parking look like at the new Main Branch Library? |
The proposed site plan includes 41 spaces on-site, including 2 accessible parking spaces. The Library is working with the County of Brant Planning & Development Department to ensure the new Main Branch Library has adequate parking that does not adversely impact the surrounding neighbourhood. |
5. How much will the new Main Branch Library cost? |
The estimated cost is $37.7 million. View a breakdown of the project costs and budget here. Fundraising efforts are already underway and will continue to expand.
